3 YEARS UNDERGRADUATE COURSE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - BIT (Bachelor of Information Technology)
Objective
This course takes on the challenge of teaching students about the world of computer environment from technology point of view as well as a business process view. Successful completion of this course will give students the foundation, knowledge and skills to become a leader in the IT field and appreciate current usage and trends of IT in business and industry environments. It also will impart the skills to analyse, design and implement up-to-date computer-based systems including those related to internet technology, multimedia and web-based applications.

Eligibility
10+2 or equivalent / 3 year Diploma from a State Board of Technical Education.
Lateral Entry
Lateral Entry to 2nd Year
The candidates seeking admission to the 2nd year of the BIT course should have successfully completed
1. Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Application /Computer Studies from any recognized University after 10+2 ; or
2. 10+3 Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent in Information Technology/Computer Engineering from any recognized Technical education Board ; or

Lateral Entry to 3rd Year
The candidates seeking admission to the 3rd year of the BIT course should have successfully completed  Advanced Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Application / Computer Science / Computer Studies of 2 years duration from any recognized University after 10+2.
Award
After Successful completion of 3 years students would also be awarded BIT degree from UGC Recognised state Government University.
